Hi, how are you today?
This world of blogging is new to me, so please be gentle – but I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself and what this little blog is all about.
My name is Nicola, I read a lot and have done since I was a child, I’ve thought about writing a book blog for, oh – maybe 10 years now, and this latest round of lockdown restrictions prompted me to finally take the plunge.
I’d love to create a calm little corner of the internet where we can share the books we’re reading, and connect literature to other forms of media. I often get an idea in my head linked to art, or music or film when I read, and I’d love to be able to share that with you. I’d love to inspire you to pick up something different, or to connect dots that you may not have noticed before.
If you’re wondering about the title, it came from my ‘bookstagram’ – I set it up when I did indeed have bleached hair, it’s much calmer now [the hair that is] but I’ve grown fond of the name so I’m going to keep it around for a while. Come find me on Instagram here.
